Cherub Bust
For this project, I sculpted a cherub bust from clay, added a seam line from brass shim, and made each side of the mould with plaster.Once set, both sides of the mould could be separated and cleaned, before putting them back together liquid latex was poured in, and then out again to create the ‘skin’ of the cherub. Once that was dry, expanding foam was poured in to create the core. Once everything was dry, it could be removed from the mould and the seam line could be trimmed.
